Cookbooks

·    Sproutman’s Kitchen Garden Cookbook by Steve Meyerowitz, This cookbook has step by step instructions on how to sprout (sprouts have an amazing amount of nutrients.) It also has great recipes for sprout bread and sprout cookies.  This was the only bread and cookies that we allowed Amber to have while she was recovering.
·    Green for Life  by Victoria Boutenko  Great recipes for green smoothies
·    How We all Went Raw  by Charles, George, and  Coralanne Nungesser
·    Every Day Wholesome Eating by Kim Wilson    I’ve heard this is good but haven’t used it myself
·    Recipes for Life From Gods Garden by Rhonda Malkmus (Hallelujah Acres)
·    Dining in the Raw  by Rita Romano
·    Fresh Vegetables and Fruit Juices by Dr. Norman Walker  This is a great book on juicing.

Below I have listed the resources that I used to learn about real health and nutrition.  I do not necessarily agree with all of the authors spiritual views.
Hallelujah Acres has great teaching books, cookbooks, and videos on the 85% raw, 15% cooked diet (The Hallelujah diet.)  I buy most of my supplements from them.  Their supplements are processed without heat.  They send out a free health news magazine that is very informative and encouraging, with testimonies from others who have gotten well.  They offer free monthly seminars on their campus in Shelby, NC.  They have a free “60 days to reclaim your health” program that includes daily email videos, recipes and all the info you need to get going on a healthy recovery plan.  This program is online not on their campus. I have read hundreds of testimonies of people getting well from every ailment after changing to a healthy life style.

Dr. Joel Robbins(our doctor) is an MD, DC, and a Nutritional Health Specialist who has owned and operated the Health and Wellness Clinic in Tulsa, Oklahoma since 1978. He is the founder of the College of Natural Health. He has written some great books and has lectures on CD if you want to learn more.  We have never met in person (we had phone appointments,) but he has been a huge blessing to us. I have listened to and read most of his materials (books and CD’s) and found them very helpful. He is a christian and grew up on the mission field.

Dr. Norman Walker D. Sc. was the inventor of the juicer.  He has a good book on juicing that has helpful information on what fruits and vegetables to juice for different ailments. It also has a helpful nutrient chart in the back that tells what nutrients are in each fruit and vegetable. I copied and laminated the chart and kept it on my refrigerator as a reference to see which fruits and veggie are high in the nutrients Amber needed.  I found all of his books very informative.
